Quite a few things caught my attention as I poured over your work but you already know of them, perhaps.
Every detail there is seems a very hard work in itself: 1. The mountains and the different shadings they have. 2. The river, the splashing waves, and the ethereal lights reflected of its surface that some how tells of a day undecided between stormy and cloudy. 3. The white clouds, on the other hand, feel odd to me. Should they perhaps be drawn more grey or darker to imply either a storm on the horizon for the mare or a dark night through which she flies? Not entirely sure. 4. The red moon seems aery and somewhat intimidating but I could not help to notice something that might as well be wrong: Does the clouds before the moon leave shadows on it? the shadows on the moon somewhat synchronize with the clouds but I can be greatly mistaken, of course. 5. Now the wing work has great potential and I simply love it yet I must perhaps say that had the wing been drawn a bit larger or in a different pose, it might have brought a really beautiful scene to us. I know this might not concise with the fandom and the anatomy of wings for pegasi but this is art, is it not? So why not push the limits a bit.. 6. The tail seems glossy and the lines are well designed but her coat does not match with it. If i close my eyes and imagine a somewhat different hue of blue, it would appear truly lovely but I am not the artist so I would not really tell. 7 Now, for the sword. the moment I looked at it, I imagined the sword that belonged to Aragon on Lord of the Rings: tall, straight and proud. Did you intend that effect? If you did, then a job well done for her pose with the sword brings to mind the legends that entrance us in those novels we so much loved to read and reread.
All in all, a job well done and I will be looking for more of such amazing work of art from you.
I'll be fair here, you did a great job on everything in the picture! I want to point out the wings, and tail, which are incredible! Amazing is the detail in this picture. Moon, the moon is EPIC. I'm pretty sure it's really well done. The background is pretty original, though resembles some of the mountains in MLP: FiM. The water is pretty nice and realistic, and shadows are really well done. The sword is good with the accents of red, but it is Rainbow Dash, so not an entirely original picture. The colours are pretty much spot on, though I should compare them with the actual show colours. Cutie mark is nice, compared to some of the other pics I've seen. All around very nice image. I'll have to ask what you drew it in!
i must say...i looooovveee the way you draw ponies. The shading is clean and smooth, the mane's are fabulous, and i cant help but feel like every one of your pony portriaits is worthy of a monument
